Tangshan Convenes Discussion Meeting on ＂INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM OF TANGSHAN'S 'NANO VALLEY'＂

On April 19th, Tangshan Science & Technology Bureau organized experts to conduct discussion on the “Industrial Development Program of Tangshan’s ‘Nano Valley’”, which was consigned to be worked out by National Center for Nanoscience and Technology of Chinese Academy of Sciences.

Through the discussion, the experts agreed that, on the basis of deep investigation of Tangshan’s present industry situation, combining with comparative analysis on development tendency and orientation of nanotechnology industry at home and abroad, the Program proposed industrial development ideas, major objective and key tasks of Tangshan’s Nano Valley. The Program reflected that present development tendency in the field of nanotechnology industry, and Tangshan’s significant demand and research direction in the field of nanotechnology industry accord with Tangshan’s strategic positioning in industrial structure adjustment. The policy suggestions proposed in the Program, such as strengthening top-level design, building nano innovation platform, and establishing special funds, etc, are explicit, specific and maneuverable, having important guiding function on the construction of Tangshan’s Nano Valley. The experts suggested that, the drafting team of the program should make further enrichment and improvement according to the experts’ opinion on platform construction, major projects and so forth; they hope that Tangshan municipal government pay high attention to the construction of Nano Valley, and set up long-term mechanism, enhance investment, and strongly push forward development of nanometer industry.

The discussion meeting marks that Tangshan’s “Nano Valley” has marched from a strategic idea toward substantial programming. And provided theoretical basis for Tangshan to energetically develop environmental industry chain of nanoenergy, and thereby strive to form strategic emerging industry of nanoenergy with characteristic of the region.
