3 Orientation Characteristics Tangshan invests in Scientific Research in 2012

The first is to focus on investing in significant technological innovation projects. Three key technological innovation projects, in which will be invested would be nanoenergy, energy saving electrombile and equipment manufacturing industry. 30 million RMB is established to support the industrialization of nanogenerator project; 12.5 million RMB is established to support the development, industrialization discount loan of 10m electrobus project; 10 million RMB is established to support integrated innovation project and capacity building project in equipment manufacturing industry (high speed train project). The total amount is 52.50 million RMB, which takes 50.1% in the year’s total funds for scientific research.
The second is to focus on investing in significant scientific supporting projects. 20 million RMB is established to support key scientific supporting project. And initiative to investigate and scheme projects would be given to each operation office to motivate their enthusiasm, who would screen and recommend projects, and propose protocol for planned projects. For projects that are examined to be approved, organize for demonstration as required. At last, after deliberated by bureau-level leaders, report to municipal leaders for approval. Strive to solve, in deeper and broader range, a batch of generic technologies, key technologies and core technologies which prevent science from innovation, to accelerate sci-tech achievements’ transformation into practical productive forces.
The third is to focus on investing in construction of sci-tech innovation platforms. According to the requirement of “tackling the key link of building the innovation platform”, 5 million RMB is specially established for the construction of sci-tech platforms in basic condition, and enhance in supporting the construction of kinds of sci-tech innovation platforms, such as enterprise engineering technology research and development center, key laboratory and sci-tech incubator, etc.
